I like the idea of having the statuses from status.lol on Scribbles but not sure how useful it really is. On status.lol you can control when the statuses "roll off" but not on Scribbles so it's still displaying potentially really old status if I don't update. Begs the bigger question of how many things do I really need to be updating?
Good article from Krugman on the weirdness going on with how people perceive how the economy is doing vs. how it really is doing. Best bit: “The widely cited Michigan survey asks respondents whether their financial situation is better or worse than it was five (not four) years ago: 52 percent say better, 38 percent say worse. And if Americans are feeling financially strapped, why is consumer spending so high?”
🎓🎶 Bit of a milestone tonight - the last high school band concert we will be attending as parents. My son graduates in about 3 weeks and this is it. Hard to believe.

I got about halfway through episode one of Fallout and called it quits. So violent and I’m tired of seeing that.
Of course I had all sorts of things I wanted to be doing tonight and of course I'm not doing them and updating a Mac Mini I barely ever use...
Two more subscriptions falling by the wayside tomorrow (4/27): CARROT Weather and Bitwarden Premium.
I keep wondering just how much I'm really gaining by all of the "privacy" machinations with ad blockers, NextDNS profiles, etc.
I wrote about Ben Werdmuller's post on TikTok last night and hadn't seen Manton Reece's take which I agree with. Especially this part: “TikTok is still probably a net negative for society, and I’m not going to lose sleep if their business stumbles or the bill leads to more competition in short video social networks.” I keep hearing a lot about how people will lose their businesses if TikTok doesn't divest and is prevented from doing business in the US. That would certainly be a negative but with respect to those folks there are other options available.
